Movado Triple Date 14k

We’re happy to offer you guys this wonderfully sophisticated and stylish 1940’s wristwatch. This vintage Movado Triple Calendar is manufactured from 14k yellow gold and is powered by Movado’s caliber 470.

The beautiful dial is showing some lovely warm patina but no traces of moist or water damage (which is often the case with these watches). Please have a look at those beautiful raised numerals and fat arrow-head markers, such a cool style of dial-design and manufacture. The two windows inside the dial display the day and month in French – all days, months and also the date on the outer edge of the dial are clearly visible and are without damages. The pushers on this Movado calendar are still the original 14k gold ones and these are decorated with fine etched lines for your fingernail to easily adjust the calendar functions. The upper pusher at the two o’clock position is to advance the month, to change the date simply use the lower pusher at the four o’clock position – or manually turn the crown every 24 hours. The days will automatically change every 24 hours.

Both hour and minute hand on this Movado are original, same goes for the date pointer – the only part we replaced during the full service was the winding crown, which was just too worn to keep on the watch. This early vintage Movado Triple Date 14k. measures 32mm across in diameter, excluding the crown – From lug to lug, the watch measures 39mm while the watch has a lug/strap width of 16mm. This gentleman watch is fitted on a Navy blue Lizard strap with gold plated buckle.

As mentioned this Movado Triple Date 14k. was fully serviced by our watchmakers and we left the gold case unpolished as it still shows some nice sharp lines.
