Now, this watch is something special! And let me be brief; there isn’t another 1611 Datejust like this for sale anywhere, nowhere, nada, niente – it’s next to impossible to find! This is one of the rarest Rolex Datejust watches out there! However, here’s you’re change to snatch it up..

The 1611 reference is defined by it’s Morellis finish on the bezel and center-links of the gold bracelet. This finish was completely executed by hand by the highly skilled artisans at the Rolex factory – Not one watch or bracelet are the same. (We sold a rare 1811 Day-Date with this same Morellis finish some time ago, feel free to make comparisons here). Besides the wonderfully hand decorated 18K yellow gold, the amazing blue dial is another gorgeous feature about this watch absolutely worth mentioning. This dial has an effect that is often called ‘Bricks in the Wall’ or ‘Brick dial’ due to the fact that the finish reassembles stacked bricks, or a brick wall. It’s hard to photograph but immediately noticeable when on the wrist. Because of these ‘bricks’ there are various shades of blue, creating a beautiful effect that really makes the dial come alive. The contrast between the 18k vintage yellow gold and the deep blue of the dial is absolutely stunning! All lume plots on the dial are intact and match the original gold hands.

The 18k yellow gold Jubilee bracelet has some stretch to it, but is in an overall solid condition with tight end-links and clean and crisp buckle with a clear 1/68 year stamp on the folding clasp. So, If you’re looking for something truly rare and special (and gold) this might just be your watch.. This rare beauty it’s 1570 caliber is serviced according to the Rolex specifications and the watch will be sold with a twelve month warranty.

We did NOT polish the case and/or bracelet!
