1601 Two-Tone Datejust

It’s always nice to find a high-quality 1601 two-tone Datejust. Since most of these 4-digit, gold and steel Datejust watches had a hard life and dials and cases are frequently damaged, we’re happy to offer you guys this wonderful and clean specimen that came to us as part of a trade-in deal. This Datejust was initially bought in Tokyo, Japan, but has been living in Amsterdam for the past five years or so, before moving to Haarlem.

This vintage Datejust features a beautiful and high quality vintage pie-pan dial. The so-called sunray lines that adorn this golden Datejust dial look wonderful combined with those fat, yellow gold brushed hour-markers and their delicately polished facets on the top and bottom. It’s all about the details right? and to top it off, this Datejust still has that gorgeous, slightly slimmer and heavy Serif font that I personally adore. You might not notice it the first time, but compare this typeface to an 80s or 90s Datejust dial and you will see what I mean. Our vintage two-tone Datejust has a high quality sturdy case, with four solid lugs and an 18k yellow gold fluted bezel which shows very sharp lines and zero damages. The watch is worn on a chocolate brown, grained leather WWH strap and closes around your wrist using the stainless steel buckle. Please take note of the overall very clean appearance of this vintage Datejust, which, thanks to the leather strap, is also a pretty undercover timepiece.

As you have come to expect from us, this 1601 two-tone Datejust was fully serviced according the Rolex factory specs and will be sold with our extensive 24 month warranty, including our service report and parts replaced during the service.
