Holy smokes! This is exactly why we love the vintage four digit Datejust so much! Each one truly is unique and once again we managed to find another wonderful specimen with a fantastic, off-white Sigma dial, featuring the most warm and amazing patina on all Tritium parts of the watch. Not only is each Tritium dot at the end of the indices in one piece and perfect, they also show a wonderful dark pumpkin colour which matches perfectly with the aged Tritium inside the hands – A vintage watch lovers dream.
The case on this 1603 Datejust is strong with sharp and evenly shaped lugs and an Engine Turned bezel which remains in a great overall condition. The Jubilee Bracelet is the original to the watch and is of course a folded 6251 Jubilee with 55 end-links. The watch also still features its original date-wheel with open 6 and 9 numerals, which is kind of a thing for us watchnerds and always nice to see preserved with aforementioned watches. With its individual serial number starting with 33 this Datejust dates back to 1973, the era of when the most wonderful vintage Rolex watches were produced (in my humble opinion). That crispy off-white Sigma dial is absolutely spotless and this Datejust simply is a sublime and rare vintage Rolex.
As you are used to by now, this 1603 Datejust “Sigma Pumpkin” was once again fully serviced by our watchmakers and will be sold with a 24 month warranty.
