16030 “Roman Tapestry” Datejust
Here’s another beautiful Tapestry Datejust – Like we mentioned earlier, a Tapestry dial truly brings that extra bit of flair and uniqueness to the table which will make you smile every time you glance down at your wrist. Each vertical line which make up the Tapestry pattern is raised, but also consist of very small lines, all part of a concentric guilloche of the entire dial – When viewed up close this finish is truly astonishing. The combination of those large vertical, and small concentric lines in this particular dial colour, ensures that the Tapestry pattern truly comes to life on the wrist; when the light hits this dial and pattern, it bends and plays with the color, making the dial seem silver at one point and champagne the other.
This 1988 Datejust with a 16030 reference is in a truly excellent condition with a strong and sharp case and a solid 78360 Oyster bracelet to match. The Champagne Tapestry dial is decorated with 18k white gold indices which all show a small facet cut detail at the top and bottom, but also feature a small cut right down the middle of the indice, enhancing the overall readability of the dial. All Tritium on the dial has a wonderful eggshell colour, however there’s no Tritium at the end of the indices, instead there’s a closed minute track showing small, 5 minute markings in a Roman font. The stainless steel Engine turned bezel remains in a very good condition with sharp edges all around, we left this bezel unpolished during the entire service of the watch. This is another Datejust with a fantastic neo-vintage presence and is a watch which will never get dull.
As mentioned, the entire watch and its 3035 movement (with quick set date) were fully serviced according the Rolex specs and this beautiful watch will be sold with our 24 month warranty.
