AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK 14100

When you’re talking about ICONIC watch design, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is right up there with watches such as the Rolex Submariner, the Cartier Tank, the Daytona and of course the Patek Philippe Nautilus – Watches that are instantly recognizable. The particular design for the Royal Oak came from Gerald Genta and was inspired by a diving helmet. The story goes that one day, Genta was walking along the shores of Lake Geneva when he spotted a diver, whose helmet was secured to his diving suit with screws. This tiny detail inspired him to not hide the functional screws on the bezel, but instead leave them in plain sight for all to see.

The Royal Oak we’re offering here is a B-Series from the early 1980’s and has been fully serviced by AP before it was sold by German authorized AP dealer, Hollfelder in Oberstaufen, Germany. This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, reference 14100 is once again in a like new condition thanks to it’s full overhaul by the AP after sales. The watch features a brand new bracelet with modern AP logo clasp and during that overhaul the dial was also updated to a SWISS MADE version, truly transforming this vintage Royal Oak to a factory fresh watch! That anthracite dial with it’s Tappiserie pattern shows great depth and is absolutely true to the Original 1980’s dial. The entire case and integrated bracelet are razor sharp and will absolutely not dissapoint! This B series, reference 14100 is a transitional model which doesn’t come up for sale that often – This Royal Oak is accompanied by an ‘Extrait de Registre’ from AP, invoice from Hollfelder and an AP box.

As mentioned, this incredible vintage AP Royal Oak was fully serviced and will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
