Cartier Tank Amsterdam Boutique Edition

There’s rare and then there’s “I’ve never seen this watch before” rare… As far as we can tell this is the very first Must de Cartier Tank ”Amsterdam Boutique Edition” to hit the open market (and it could very well be the last..). A very rare, very limited and numbered Cartier Tank wristwatch with an absolutely unique dial design. It’s 1 of only 100 pieces manufactured in the year 2000, in honor of the opening of the then, brand new Cartier Boutique in Amsterdam’s luxury district, the PC Hooftstraat.

So, what’s so special about this dial? Well, the otherwise rectangular minute track we normally see on all other Tank watches, is now transformed into a crest or coat of arms shape, of course mimicking our Capital’s classic coat of arms, originating from 1280. The three crosses in the middle of the dial form the core of the Amsterdam coat of arms, they are so-called Andrew’s crosses, named after the apostle Andrew and are engraved into the sparkly, silvered dial with the Must de Cartier model name moved down to the six o’clock position – A method we’ve seen before with other, very limited watch dials from various other brands. The watch is worn on a black alligator strap from Cartier and closes around your wrist via the original, Cartier folding clasp – We’re happy to once again live up to our ‘Quality over Quantity’ motto.

The Cartier signed quartz movement received a full battery service, but other then that we left the watch alone. Everything is still original and untouched. This very rare Cartier Tank ”Amsterdam Boutique Edition” will be available with our 24 month warranty.
