Datejust 16014 ‘Patina Galore’

Holy sh*t! This is precisely why we adore these early five-digit, vintage Datejust models with their older Tritium compound. The discoloration of the tritium is out of this word! How fortunate were we to discover this outstanding specimen with its spotless silver dial and the most warm and amazing custard colored patina on all Tritium sections of the watch. Each Tritium dot at the end of the indices is not only in one piece and flawless, but it also perfectly matches the aged Tritium inside the hands – what a vintage Rolex dream!

If you look closely, you can detect a few tiny “Tritium burns” on the hour and minute hands. This is completely normal and informs you that the Tritium and the resulting discoloration are original and occurred over a longer period of time, under ideal circumstances. The silver dial is immaculate and displays a stunning Sunburst finish, which is more apparent in some lights than others. The 18k white gold bezel displays sharp edges, and as always, we appreciate the thick Serif type of the black printed text on the dial. The case and Jubilee bracelet continue to be in excellent shape with strong lugs and little stretch. Additionally, the original date-wheel is still present, and it is quite evident that the former owner of this 16014 Datejust took exceptional care of the timepiece. Who is willing to take on the responsibility of caring for this unique vintage Rolex for the next 40 years.

This fantastic vintage Rolex Datejust 16014 ‘Patina Galore’ was fully serviced by our watchmakers and will be accompanied by the original inner and outer boxes, including the watch’s Datejust booklet and hangtag. As always, she will be sold with our 24 month warranty.
