Longines Diamond ‘Sigma’ Dial

What an exquisite vintage ladies watch from Longines! The Extract from the Longines Archives reveals that this 14k yellow gold wrist-jewel was exported in 1974 from the Longines factory in Saint-Imier Switzerland, to Longines agent Int. de Relojeria in Spain.

Let’s start with that beautiful gold Sigma dial, look close and you will see that this dial is divided into four quarters. Those quarters show different finished surfaces, these surfaces give this dial a unique face with an ever changing display of the quarter dial – Sometimes the lighter quarters turn dark and vice versa, and in certain lighting they’re not visible at all, really cool. The beautiful dial is adorned by 36 diamonds measuring 0.2 carats each, so there’s a total of 0,72 carat of brilliant cut diamonds on the outer edge of the gold Sigma dial. This 1970’s chique, Longines diamond Sigma dial ladies watch is fitted to a taupe coloured crocodile strap and is accompanied by another dark brown alligator strap as a spare. The entire watch remains in a very good condition with both the engraved numerals and gold hallmarks visible to the naked eye – Everything about this vintage Longines breathes high quality and true artisanship from the Swiss mountains.

The manual wound, Longines caliber 5601 was fully serviced by our watchmakers and is keeping excellent time.
