Finding a black dialed vintage Seamaster DeVille is a task in itself, but finding one with an exciting textured dial is something we didn’t anticipate on, but are very happy with nonetheless! This rare dialed Seamaster De Ville is from 1962 and has a slightly different texture than what we are used to seeing (when compared with the textured dials manufactured by Rolex for instance). Just have a look at the macro shot of the black dial, you will see lines crossing each other in almost a fixed patern, with the naked eye it even looks more like a honeycomb dial, but than again it does not. The way the lines are applied/manufactured, and the way the entire dial is finished with a smooth glossy like varnish, makes it look as if the dial was made of rough textured silk, a beautiful and rare sight.

We decided to leave the case, bezel and lugs unpolished during the watch its service, so the angles and lines of the case would stay visible, adding to the vintage joy of this 60’s dress watch. The case-back clearly shows the Seahorse emblem with the word SEAMASTER engraved on the bottom. The watch is fitted on a black alligator strap with a rare and original 1940’s Omega ‘double’ buckle. The black leather strap in combination with the Omega buckle and the textured dial looks super stylish and very 1960’s cool!

The 552 movement inside this Omega dress watch has been serviced and a new and original Omega crystal has been fitted. The watch will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
