OMEGA SPEEDMASTER ‘TINTIN’ B&P

No one really knows how many of these TinTin Speedmaster watches were actually produced, rumors are it’s between 1000 to 2000 units, Omega doesn’t really tell. What we do know, is that this watch was introduced at the Basel watch fair in 2013 and that it’s production span was roughly about two years. Even though the production run of this Speedmaster was short with small numbers, the initial unsuccessful launch and bad sales figures of the TinTin Speedy made it available for sale through official retailers, many years after Omega ceased production – with the last ones being delivered by AD’s (at least here in our region) until late 2017. Today it’s one of the more rare and desirable, modern Speedmasters around, and finding one with all the correct boxes and paperwork is becoming more and more challenging. Some are for sale without B&P and others with the wrong boxes for instance. Our TinTin is a super full set with the correct boxes and the right warranty cards, also included with the watch is a sealed copy of the famed Moonwatch Only book and an extra Omega carry case for a watch, a few leather straps or anything else you might want to store regarding your watch collecting hobby.

The distinct dial of the TinTin Speedmaster with it’s vibrant red and white racing motif truly explodes on the outer edge of the dial making it a totally unique Omega Speedmaster and one that is instantly recognizable to any watchnerd and Speedmaster collector – It truly is one of the best, if not the best, modern Speedmaster you could own/buy. The red and white TinTin ‘rocket design’ sets off really well against that matte black chronograph dial, the case-back with it’s red painted NASA text is another cool feature on the TinTin, and even though it’s a small detail, it feels good to know that even the back of your watch is special. The TinTin is fitted to Omega’s modern steel bracelet with brushed links and highly polished, smaller center links. The one on our Speedy consists of 14 links (excluding the end links) and will fit comfortable to any a wrist with a max size of 18cm circumference (When required, spare links are available). Please note that this TinTin Speedmaster remains in unpolished conditions so the bracelet shows small hairlines marks on some of the links, but most marks, as expected, are on the outside of the folding clasp – note that these look way worse in the photograph than in real life. This Speedmaster was taken very good care of for the past three years, it was worn scarcely and when the watch was worn it was with a lot of care and Speedmaster passion! In short; one hell of a TinTin Speedmaster and a cool, extra full set at that. There’s not another set like this for sale anywhere – We hope to welcome another Speedmaster aficionado to be the new owner of this collectable Omega Speedmaster TinTin.

Omega’s caliber 1861 housed inside this Speedmaster was fully checked by our Omega certified and trained watchmakers. The movement and the entire watch are in excellent condition, both are performing according to the Omega factory specs, but the watch will of course be sold with our 12 months of warranty.
