Omega ‘Double Signed’ Tiffany & Co

Wow, imagine walking into a Tiffany’s jewelry store back in the late 1940’s (!) and seeing this 14k yellow gold, Omega 2420 Tiffany & Co dress-watch being displayed in one of the beautifully decorated windows, what an experience that must have been. And since Tiffany used to market their brand as ‘An arbiter of taste and style’ This vintage Omega 2420 is the perfect watch to fit that slogan from back in the day.

So, this Omega was manufactured in 1947 from solid 14k yellow gold and was retailed by Tiffany & Co. Therefor the dial is signed with the desirable Tiffany & Co printing – AKA a double signed dial. The font used for this print is nice and sleek and really adds something classy to the dial and the entire watch. For the 12 and 6 numerals, applied Arabic indices have been used, for the 3 and 9 indices, Arrow shaped markers were used while the remaining indices were machined to beautiful, four faceted, diamond shaped markers – all applied indices and the Omega logo are also made from 14k yellow gold. The black printed, closed minute track located more to the center of the dial is very clean and the original hand-blued seconds hand, touches the edge of the track perfectly. The case-back of the watch has been engraved with the name Lee C. Paull, most likely the name of the gentleman who walked into that Tiffany store 70 plus years ago to purchase this wonderful Omega dress-watch. The engraving is done in that recognizable 1940’s/1950’s hand-engraving style in a clear blocked font, beautiful. At first sight this Omega 2420 Tiffany & Co seems like a simple watch, but the details on this beauty are gorgeous and really breath that old fashioned, quality watch manufacturing.

Inside this watch is Omega’s very first automatic bumper movement, the caliber 28.10. Our watchmakers fully serviced this movement and gave the beautiful case with it’s fancy lugs a slight polish, just enough to make her sparkle again. This Omega will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
