We’re happy to offer you guys this modern version of the beloved 36mm Rolex Datejust, a watch manufactured by the latest standards and with a modern Oystersteel bracelet. A watch truly made to last and one that’s super comfortable to wear. If you are looking for a modern Rolex, but one that is still connected to the Rolex heritage, this 116234 sapphire Datejust with Box and Papers might just be your watch!
Rolex uses Oystersteel for its steel watch cases ad bracelets. Oystersteel belongs to the 904L steel family of superalloys, most commonly used in high-technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential. Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional finish once polished and maintains its beauty even in the harshest environments. The robust and comfortable Oystersteel, Oyster bracelet on our Datejust is equipped with an Oysterclasp and the Easylink comfort extension link. This ingenious system allows the wearer to increase or shorten the bracelet length by approximately 5 mm in about 2 seconds, providing additional comfort in any circumstance. The beautiful and bright, white glossy dial features Roman applied indices fashioned from 18K white gold and the same applies to all three of the watch it’s hands. The fluted bezel surrounding the sapphire crystal is also manufactured from 18K white gold and remains in unpolished condition. Like every Rolex, this one is also designed and manufactured in-house, largely by hand to ensure absolute perfection.
The caliber 3135 ticking inside this modern Datejust is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. The movement was fully serviced by our watchmakers according to the Rolex standards and the watch will be sold with a 12 month warranty.
