Rolex Datejust 16013

We are much delighted to offer this well preserved Rolex Datejust 16013 from 1983 accompanied by its original box and service papers. This two-tone Datejust is one of the most iconic and recognizable Rolex watches ever manufactured, and will be instantly acknowledge by fellow watch lovers as a true classic.

Despite being worn almost every day for the past 39 years, the previous owners seemed to enjoy a bit of a loose fit around the wrist, so the original Jubilee bracelet still remains in an excellent condition. There is absolutely no wear and tear from the steel links against the golden center links, stretch is also minimal. The case, bezel and dial all remain in beautiful condition and shape – The stainless steel case features thick lugs with sharp lines, look closely and its self-evident these parts haven’t seen much polishing. The 18k yellow golden fluted bezel is fairly sharp and clean with that wonderful warm radiation of vintage gold. All Tritium dots at the end of the hour-markers show a beautiful vanilla patina which matches nicely with the Tritium inside the hands. The date-disc on this Rolex Datejust is still the original and shows all ‘open’ 6 and 9 numerals in a serif font.

Once on the wrist you will notice that the 18k yellow golden indices and hands offer a wonderful contrast against the spotless silver dial and serve up a dish of warmth when hit by the sun. The overall condition of this Datejust indicates that the watch was carefully worn and truly treated as a proud treasure. After a near 40 years, this two-tone Datejust is now looking for a new owner, I’m sure she will make for a nice addition to anyones (vintage) watch collection, or as someones very first vintage Rolex.

This Rolex Datejust 16013 was fully serviced by our watchmakers according the strict Rolex factory specs, and will be delivered with our 24 month warranty.
