ROLEX DATEJUST B&P

It’s always great to locate a Rolex Datejust with it’s original boxes, papers, booklets etc. It’s even better when that watch also has it’s service history receipts still present, and I guess the cherry on the cake here is that beautiful black dial. A black dial fitted on a vintage Datejust is a rare sight nowadays, even more rare when that black dial has this mesmerizing Tapestry finish and the entire watch is in an overall great condition.

Let’s break it down; The watch has a nice fat case with thick lugs, a clean and sharp engine-turned bezel and a 78360 Oyster bracelet in a good condition – About that Oyster bracelet, it has a VD clasp-code which means it was also manufactured in 1979, same as the rest of the watch and therefore perfectly matching. During the watch it’s service we didn’t over-polish the bracelet or the clasp, hence the small scratches still visible on the folding clasp. Also please note that the macro images above show hairline scratches that are not visible with the naked eye – this Datejust really looks super clean!

The black Tapestry dial really completes the watch! When on the wrist you will notice that at certain times the dial will appear grey, at other times it looks like the Tapestry lines have disappeared all together, It’s such a versatile and special dial, it will never get boring! An exact full set like this isn’t for sale anywhere else at the moment, so this is a rare package in several respects. This 16030 all steel Datejust was fully serviced and will be sold with a twelve month warranty. Coffee’s always on – who’s up!
