Rolex Datejust ‘Midnight Blue’

Blue is one of the nicest and more rare colors when it comes to vintage Datejust watches. The blue dial fitted inside our 1603 Datejust is nothing short of amazing. This dial displays light and/or dark-blue colors depending on the light-source, something that is also clearly visible in the photo’s above.. See those different tones of blue?

When worn indoors the dial colour reminds us of a dark, but clear winter night, hence the watch it’s nickname; 1603 Datejust ‘Midnight Blue’. When the watch is on the wrist and when viewed from an angle, the dark-blue tones dominate the dial, but once the sun hits it a purple hue can bee seen. In the night-time the dial appears to be all black – truly stunning! To top it off, this already gorgeous dial is fitted with 18k yellow gold indices and yellow gold hands, a configuration often seen with vintage Datejust watches manufactured for the Middle-Eastern market. The case on this 1603 is nice and strong with well shaped lugs and a well conditioned and original, engine turned bezel. The 62510 Jubilee bracelet remains in a good condition with a solid clasp with Rolex coronet. We also like to point out that the Tritium dots at the end of the golden indices have the same tritium compound and colour as the Tritium inside the golden hands – it’s always about the details.

These type of Datejust watches manufactured in this rare configuration only come along every few years or so.. please don’t hesitate too long if this is your dream watch. This awesome 1603 Datejust ‘Midnight Blue’ was fully serviced by our watchmakers and will be delivered with a 12 month warranty.
