Rolex Datejust ‘Porcelain Dial’

This fresh and crisp-looking Rolex Datejust with reference 16220 is fitted with the purist white dial of them all, the Porcelain dial. Most of us are familiar with the porcelain dial from the early and rare version of the 16520 Zenith Daytona models, but Rolex also fitted some Datejust models with dials made from the same bright and lacquered material, better known amongst collectors as the Porcelain dial.

That dial obviously compliments the entire watch here, the way the high gloss ‘Porcelain’ smiles at you when you glance down at your watch is unlike anything else, the dial constantly plays with the light making the indices and hands seem black at one time and at another times exactly for what they are, 18k white gold. But also notice the sleek black lacquer lining inside those white gold Roman numerals, these aren’t immediately noticeable until you tilt the watch a bit, or view it from an angle, then all of a sudden the dial and those markers look completely different. The slightly raised, black printed text has a wonderful high gloss finish to it thanks to the way these dials were processed in production, it truly breathes high quality with an extensive high-end finish on the entire dial, and watch for that matter.

The case on this Porcelain beauty is nice and sharp with a so-called Engine turned bezel which remains in more than fair conditions. Another great thing is that this watch is worn on its original 62510H Jubilee bracelet with 555B end-links – this super comfortable bracelet also remains is solid conditions with a sharp and clean Oyster clasp with a clear Rolex coronet. The watch and its entire 3135 movement have been fully serviced according to the Rolex factory specs and the watch will be sold with our 24 month warranty.
