Chopard 18k Ultra Thin

Wow, what a marvelous vintage Chopard. This extremely stylish and slightly oversized wristwatch has a so-called TV-case executed in 18k white gold with four sleek lugs and a thin L.U.C. signed crown. L.U.C is the manufacture line of Chopard bearing the name of Louis-Ulysse Chopard, who in 1860 set up a watchmaking shop in Switzerland. Therefor this Chopard also is a manufacture piece, with a beautiful and Ultra-Thin movement beating inside the white gold case. That movement is an Universal Geneve, caliber 2-66 with micro-rotor. This movement was amongst the thinnest automatic movements at the time of production, the movement measures only 2,5mm in height, and it beats at a rate of 19,800bph. The entire thickness of this white gold Chopard measures in at just 5mm, which is pretty impressive if you aks me.

Our Chopard was manufactured in the late 1970’s and still remains in a very good condition, the 18k white gold case shows sharp lines and sharp lugs, and a case-back with all numbers clearly visible to the naked eye. The dial remains in a very nice condition and is free from moist or water damage. The silver dial shows the older “C style” logo and the brands name with all other wordings in the most beautiful Serif fonts. We fitted this simple yet very elegant timepiece to our new “Jet Black” grained leather strap, making this clean dress watch a real powerhouse statement.

This exceptional, Chopard Ultra-Thin dress watch, was fully serviced and the watch will be delivered with our 24 month warranty. For a more in-depth read on the history of Chopard and on this particular Chopard dress watch, please visit our Blog for a new article by Martin Green.
